Monmouth College and the greater Monmouth Community enjoy a historic and continuing close relationship. The College is committed to supporting and enhancing that relationship through cooperative ventures such as the Maple Leaf Community Concert Series. The Orpheum Theatre is a beautifully restored theatre, built in the vaudeville days of early 1900s. Described as "a veritable house of enchantment" when it opened its doors on August 19, 1916, the Orpheum Theatre continues to be a place of beauty and a showcase for the arts in western Illinois. Located only minutes away in Galesburg, IL, check out the schedule of events for a variety of music and entertainment.

The Warren County Library is truly an excellent resource for all county residents. Branches: In addition to the Main library in Monmouth (located on the town square), there are three branch libraries: Kirkwood, Alexis and Roseville.
