The Orpheum Theatre is a beautifully restored theatre, built in the vaudeville days of early 1900s. Described as "a veritable house of enchantment" when it opened its doors on August 19, 1916, the Orpheum Theatre continues to be a place of beauty and a showcase for the arts in western Illinois. The Warren County Library is truly an excellent resource for all county residents. Branches: In addition to the Main library in Monmouth (located on the town square), there are three branch libraries: Kirkwood, Alexis and Roseville.
