UPDATED: Fire Department Smoke Detectors |
|
The Monmouth Fire Department has received a grant to install smoke alarms with 10-year batteries in homes within the Monmouth community. MFD personnel will review your home and install as many detectors as needed to meet state law at no charge to you. Please call us at 734-8427 to make your detector request. If your smoke detectors are more than 7 years old they need to be replaced. Residents that need smoke detectors or have smoke detectors that are 7 years old or older are eligible for this program. If you are not sure you have enough smoke detectors or that they are located in the right place in your home you are also eligible for this program. |

Snow Emergency/Snow Route Parking |
|
Snow Emergency When the Monmouth Police Department declares a "Snow Emergency", if you are parked on a street that is identified as a Snow Route (marked by signs), you must move your car immediately to avoid receiving a $50 ticket. Thank you. |

If you have yard waste bags, you can still take them to the landfill. The leaf vacuum is finished with picking up leaves in the street. Thanks for your help in keeping our city tidy! |
