Press Release: Community Development Vacancy

From Mayor Rod Davies' office:

City of Monmouth Postpones Staffing of

Community Development Director Position

September 27, 2017

The City of Monmouth announces that it has suspended its search for a new Director of Community Development until after it has completed its recruitment and selection process for a new permanent City Administrator. The decision to suspend the search was predicated on a cautious approach to managing municipal expenditures in light of lower than budgeted General Fund revenues and a desire to involve the new permanent City Administrator in the selection process for top level management team members.

No immediate plans have been propagated to begin the recruitment process for a new City Administrator pending consideration of an executive search consultant to assist the Mayor and City Council in determining and establishing appropriate qualifications and selection criteria for prospective candidates. In the meantime, Interim City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher continues to serve the community and municipal organization for an indefinite period of time, both in the capacity of managing resources and advancing community economic development opportunities.
