What information is required when registering rental properties?

  1. The landlord’s name, business address and telephone number. If the landlord is a partnership or corporation, the statement shall provide the name, business address and telephone number for all partners or officers. If a corporation, the statement shall include the name, business address and telephone number of the registered agent for the corporation.  
  2. If the landlord is not local, the City of Monmouth requires the name, business address and telephone number of the landlord’s local agent.
  3. The name, business address and telephone number of each lending institution, or party holding a mortgage on the premises.  
  4. The street address and property tax index number of the premises, the number of rental units, and the date on which the rental units were built.  
  5. The approximate square footage of each rental unit to determine the occupant load.

If you have an already-registered property, simply call the Zoning Office at (309) 734-7590 during October to validate your information for the next year. There is no charge during October.
