Our ultimate goal is to serve the public in a way that we would want to be treated if we were to come in and request a service or ask for information.
- To be able to assist the public in defining and understanding the different codes in our office.
- Continue with an effective building permit inspection program and making contact with contractors and the public during the construction phase of the project and answer any questions they might have. At the same time, watch out for any projects that a permit has not been issued for.
- Respond to the public in a timely manner if they have questions in reference to any part of our office requirements.
- Keep accurate records of all permits and inspections and be able to supply the City Administration and City Council Members with reports needed.
- Advise the City Administrator and Mayor of any serious problems that may arise in the operation of the office with the public or contractors.
