The Mayor's Office

The Mayor of Monmouth is a part-time elected position. The Mayor presides over the City Council and works hand-in-hand with the City Administrator on the daily operation and governance of the city. The first Mayor of Monmouth was elected in 1836. City Hall houses a gallery of portraits of all the City's past Mayors.

City Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month.
