  • Art Presenter Program

    Founded over 40 years ago by AAUW members, Lila Blum and Jan DeYoung, the Art Presenter program is now part of the Buchanan Center for the Arts. Art Presenter volunteers offer monthly presentations in area schools to promote visual art appreciation for grades K-6.

  • This local art center features free programs, art shows, art classes and a gallery.

  • Knox-Galesburg Symphony

    Enjoy the magical quality the Knox-Galesburg Symphony brings to our community and experience entertaining evenings filled with the music of great composers and memorable soloists under the direction of Maestro Bruce Polay. 

  • The Len G. Everett Galleries are located on the upper level of the Monmouth College library. Gallery 203 displays a distinguished collection of art and antiquities. Gallery 204 is the larger of the two galleries. It showcases student artwork and exhibitions of regional and national artists. 

  • Monmouth College and the greater Monmouth community enjoy an historic and continuing close relationship. The College is committed to supporting and enhancing that relationship through cooperative ventures such as the Maple Leaf Community Concert Series. All concerts are held in the Dahl Chapel at Monmouth College.

  • The Prime Beef Festival starts on the Wednesday after Labor Day every September with a large parade down Broadway. The event takes place from Wednesday through Saturday at Monmouth Park and features carnival rides, games, food, live music, demolition derbies, a strong-man competition and a Princess pageant. 

  • Located at 238 South Sunny Lane, the history museum features many exhibits of local history and agriculture. Closed during the winter months. 

  • The Warren County Public Library is an excellent resource for all county residents. In addition to the main library in Monmouth (located on the Public Square), there are smaller branch libraries in Alexis, Kirkwood and Roseville.

  • Warren County Virtual Museum

    The online Warren County Virtual Museum project seeks to make the past come alive through rich media and broadband content delivery, creating both an exciting regional educational opportunity and a dynamic historic resource to enhance citizen participation in the past story and future civic life of our regional communities. 

  • Warren County is lucky to have a fine theatre department at Monmouth College. Each semester, students put on several plays from contemporary hits to timeless classics. The Wells Theatre has state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.
