About the Department
19 Full-Time Officers
Our department has a Chief, Deputy Chief, two Lieutenants, three Sergeants, two Investigators, One Task Force Officer, and ten Patrol Officers, plus:
- One full-time public service officer
- Eight full-time dispatchers
- Three part-time dispatchers
- One full-time police executive coordinator
- One full-time janitor
Bike Patrol
Officers are able to patrol more efficiently on bikes during special events, where there is a high concentration of pedestrians such as Bacon Fest, the annual car show, and the Prime Beef Festival. Police cyclists are also used for special details including surveillance and alcohol and tobacco compliance checks.
